Before you book
Choose by the kind of day you want. Sandbar is best for shallow water and relaxing. Snorkel is best when the water and visibility are the priority. Sunset is best for a shorter romantic private cruise. Patch reef fishing is best for light-tackle action. Tiki Bar Crawl is best for waterfront stops by boat.
If you want several activities in one day, choose the Custom Activities Combo Charter. It is Six Fins' most popular private charter because the 6-, 8-, or 10-hour format gives the captain time to build a real itinerary instead of rushing one stop after another.
Most Six Fins private charters use the 30-foot Jeanneau NC 895 Weekender. It has a shaded cabin, private enclosed head, swim platform, cooler setup, Bluetooth, and the comfort needed for sandbar, snorkel, sunset, eco, harbor, and custom private days.
It feels more like a private yacht day than a crowded tour boat, which is the point.
The Jeanneau NC 895 carries up to 6 guests standard, with captain and fuel included. A 7th guest adds $150 and an 8th adds $300 under a bareboat structure, where the Charterer (21+) hires the captain separately at $65/charter-hour and fuel runs $35/charter-hour, on eligible non-fishing charters.
If your group is larger, do not force the Jeanneau. Ask Six Fins about the Hurricane Hole pontoon or partner-fleet options.
For larger party-style groups, the 30-foot Hurricane Hole Beach Party Pontoon may be the better fit. It supports up to 12 guests plus captain and is built for sandbar, floating, music, and group comfort.
For weddings, Dry Tortugas, overnight concepts, or larger custom requests, Six Fins may coordinate a partner-fleet vessel.
Yes. Six Fins boat charters are private unless the page clearly says otherwise. Your group has the boat, captain, route plan, and timing without strangers on board.
That private format is what lets the captain adjust for wind, tide, crowding, water clarity, wildlife, and your group's priorities.
The Custom Activities Combo Charter is Six Fins' most popular private charter for guests who want more than one activity.
It can combine sandbar, snorkeling, dolphin watching, eco cruising, harbor cruising, fishing, tiki stops, sunset positioning, swimming, floating, or quiet backcountry time. The captain builds the best version of the day around your priorities and the conditions.
Most private boat charters include the USCG-licensed captain, fuel, safety gear, cooler with ice, bottled water, and the onboard gear listed for that specific charter.
Depending on the trip, that may include snorkel gear, lily pad, floats, towels, Bluetooth music, freshwater rinse, fishing gear, or other charter-specific equipment. Check the specific charter card or detail page before booking.
Yes. Most Six Fins private charters are BYO for food, drinks, snacks, and playlist. That is part of the private-charter advantage.
Alcohol is allowed for guests where appropriate, but the captain does not drink on duty and remains responsible for vessel safety. Avoid glass when possible.
Most Six Fins boat charters depart from Perry Hotel & Marina, Dock A, Slip #32, at 7001 Shrimp Rd, Stock Island / Key West.
Some specialty charters, pontoon trips, or partner-fleet trips may have different boarding instructions. Always follow the confirmation email.
Call or text Six Fins. Many private charters can be customized by duration, route, activity mix, and group style.
If you want sandbar plus snorkel, dolphins plus sunset, fishing plus swim time, or a larger group setup, Six Fins can point you toward the right product instead of letting you book the wrong one.
If Six Fins, the captain, or partner-fleet operator determines conditions are unsafe, guests may be rescheduled or refunded according to the applicable booking policy.
If one route or destination is not ideal but the charter can safely run, the captain may adjust the plan to a better-protected area.
