Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 28, 2026
Six Fins Charter Company (“Six Fins,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit sixfinscharter.com or book a charter with us.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you:
- Book a charter through our online booking system
- Submit a contact form or request a quote
- Call, text, or email us
- Subscribe to communications about our charters
The information may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of charter, number of guests, and payment information (payment information is processed by our payment partner and is not stored on our servers).
We may also collect technical information automatically when you visit our site, such as your browser type, device, IP address, and pages you view, through standard analytics tools.
If you arrive here from an online advertisement, the link may include a click identifier added by the advertising platform. We store that identifier so we can tell which advertisements lead to bookings. See “Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising” below.
How We Use Your Information
- To process your booking and provide the charter service
- To communicate with you about your reservation, trip details, weather, or safety
- To respond to questions, quote requests, or customer support
- To send occasional updates or promotions (you can opt out anytime)
- To improve our website and services
- To comply with legal obligations
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to:
- Process bookings through our booking partner, FareHarbor
- Process payments through our payment processor
- Measure advertising results with the advertising platforms we use, as described in “Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising” below. When we report a completed booking to an advertising platform, your email address is converted into an irreversible code (a cryptographic hash) before it is sent, so the platform can match the booking to an advertisement without receiving your actual email address
- Comply with legal requirements (e.g., subpoenas, lawful requests)
- Protect the safety and rights of our guests, captains, and crew
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Site function and preferences. To keep the site working and to remember choices you make, such as dismissing a notice.
- Analytics. To understand how the site is used and which pages people find useful. We use Google Analytics for this.
- Advertising measurement. To understand which of our advertisements lead to bookings, so we do not waste money on advertising that does not work. We advertise on Google and on ChatGPT (OpenAI), and both platforms provide measurement tools that we have installed on this site.
For advertising measurement specifically:
- When you arrive from one of our advertisements, we store the click identifier from that advertisement in a first-party cookie on your device. Our own advertising cookie,
_sf_oppref, lasts up to 90 days. Advertising platforms may also set their own cookies. - These tools load scripts served by Google and OpenAI, which means those companies may receive your IP address and basic browser information as part of loading them.
- We report to those platforms when a visit results in a booking, along with the booking value, so the advertising can be measured and improved. As described above, your email address is hashed into an irreversible code before it is sent, and we do not send your name, phone number, mailing address, or payment details to advertising platforms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we use these tools only to measure and improve our own advertising. Google and OpenAI handle the information they receive according to their own privacy policies, which we do not control: see the Google Privacy Policy and the OpenAI Privacy Policy.
The notice banner on this site is an informational notice, not a consent gate: cookies are not blocked until you dismiss it, and dismissing it does not change what is collected. Your controls are described under “Your Choices” below.
Your Choices
You may:
- Request a copy of the personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct or delete that information
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email
- Block or delete cookies, including our advertising cookie, in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not function as intended if you block cookies. Deleting cookies also removes any stored advertising click identifier.
- Turn off personalized advertising with the platforms directly, through Google My Ad Center and in your ChatGPT account settings
- Use your browser’s built-in tracking protection or a tracking-blocker extension, which will stop these measurement scripts from loading. Please note that we do not currently detect or act on browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals, so blocking at the browser level is the effective option.
To make a request, or to ask us to stop reporting your booking to an advertising platform, contact us using the information below and we will handle it manually.
Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above shows when it was last revised.
