Why couples pick the water

Anniversaries are made of moments, not menus

You can spend an anniversary in a Key West restaurant. A lot of couples do. But you came to Key West because of the water — the turquoise stuff that looks photoshopped from the plane, the sandbars only locals know, the open Atlantic. A reservation at a table doesn’t put you on any of that.

Two hours on a Yamaha Waverunner VX Series with your partner behind you does. You ride out through the protected channels north of Stock Island, open the throttle on the Atlantic side, hold for a photo off the southernmost point of the continental U.S., cut past Sunset Key and Wisteria Island and the cruise piers, then stop on a working sandbar to jump off the ski into water you can see your feet in. Then you ride back. The whole thing fits in a 2-hour window, and it costs the same whether one of you rides or both of you do, because Six Fins prices per ski, not per person.

Slower-paced anniversary? Take a private charter on the 30-foot Jeanneau NC 895 with a USCG-licensed captain. Your day, your itinerary — the secret sandbar, a snorkel reef, lunch anchored somewhere quiet, sunset on the way home. Same locally-owned operator, different gear, totally different pace.

Every Six Fins booking also includes a complimentary Perry Hotel & Marina day pass — pool, on-property restaurants, and the resort’s shuttle into downtown Key West. Couples typically use it for an anniversary dinner at the property before or after the ride. Built in. No upcharge.

Or give it as a gift

Anniversary surprise? Wrap a Six Fins gift certificate.

Buy now, they pick the date later. Two-year validity. Transferable. Digital or printed delivery.

If you’re booking your own anniversary, skip this and use the buttons up top. If you’re trying to surprise your partner — or trying to find a gift for a couple’s anniversary — the Six Fins gift certificate is the cleaner play. Pick the experience (or pick a dollar amount and let them choose), we send a branded PDF or printed card, they redeem when they have their Key West dates locked in.

Frequently asked

The questions anniversary couples ask

Can a couple ride one jet ski together?

Yes — every Six Fins booking is per-jet-ski, not per-person. The Yamaha Waverunner VX Series seats up to 3 riders, so a couple shares one ski at the same flat price ($209 for the 2-hour flagship tour, $160 for the 1-hour freestyle). One drives, one rides behind. You can swap at the sandbar stop.

What’s the best Six Fins experience for an anniversary?

Depends on the day you want. For an active anniversary, the 2-Hour Flagship Tour — 28 miles around Key West with a guide, the sandbar stop, the Atlantic side, the southernmost-point photo. For a slower-paced luxury anniversary, a private boat charter on the 30-foot Jeanneau NC 895 with a USCG-licensed captain — your day, your itinerary, sandbars and snorkel reefs and sunsets.

Couples on multi-day visits often pair the two: jet ski one day, boat charter the next.

Can I buy it as an anniversary gift instead of booking the date?

Yes. Six Fins gift certificates are good for any of our experiences and stay valid for 2 years from issue. Buy now, recipient picks the date later. Digital PDF emailed in under 24 hours, or printed gift card mailed in 5–7 business days.

Is the Perry Hotel day pass included?

Yes — every Six Fins booking includes a complimentary Perry Hotel & Marina day pass. Pool, on-property restaurants, and The Perry’s complimentary shuttle between the hotel, Higgs Beach, and the A&B Marina downtown. Couples typically use it for an anniversary lunch or dinner on the property before or after the ride.

What if our anniversary falls on a windy day?

Six Fins runs from two Stock Island marinas — Perry (north-facing) and Hurricane Hole (south-facing). The protected basin opposite the wind direction stays glass. We pick the right launch on the day. If conditions aren’t safe to run at all, you can reschedule or get a full refund — no fight.

Book the anniversary — or wrap it.

Two paths, one operator. Same crew, same fleet.
