One person drives and the other rides behind. You may be able to switch drivers during the trip if both drivers meet Six Fins requirements, conditions allow, and the guide approves.

Can we just rent a jet ski and go out on our own?
No. Six Fins does not offer unguided jet ski rentals. All jet ski experiences are guided or guide-supervised for safety, route control, and responsible operation in Key West waters.
If you want the closest option to independent riding, choose the 1-Hour Freestyle Ride. A guide leads you to the approved ride area, supervises the session, and gives you room to ride under controlled conditions.
What if the weather is windy on our anniversary?
Wind does not automatically cancel a trip, but safety comes first. Six Fins operates from two Key West / Stock Island marinas and chooses the best launch, route, or ride area based on conditions.
If Six Fins or the guide determines conditions are unsafe, guests may be rescheduled or refunded according to the applicable booking policy.
Should we book early for an anniversary date?
Yes. Anniversary trips are date-sensitive, and private sunset times or peak tour slots can sell out.
Book early if the date matters, especially around weekends, holidays, spring travel, wedding trips, or cruise-heavy weeks. If you are surprising your partner, a gift certificate is the easier option when the exact date is not locked.
