30' Beach Party Pontoon
Your private floating venue at the best sandbars in Key West.
- Length: 30 feet
- Capacity: up to 12 guests
- Best for: bachelor & bachelorette parties, family gatherings, corporate outings, milestone celebrations
Cruise out to Key West's most iconic sandbars aboard our 30-foot beach-party pontoon. Spacious, stable, and built for groups, this boat turns shallow turquoise water into your own private day-club for the afternoon. Anchor up, swim, snorkel, sip, and soak in the sun with your favorite people.
Whether you're toasting the bride-to-be, gathering the family, hosting a corporate retreat, or marking a milestone birthday, the Beach Party Pontoon delivers room to roam, plenty of shade, and an unforgettable backdrop. Your local captain handles the boat and the route — you just bring the crew, the cooler, and a playlist. Our premium onboard sound system is loud, clear, and ready to set the vibe. Plus, with Starlink onboard, you'll never lose your internet connection — stream, post, or take the call from the sandbar.
Who books the Beach Party Pontoon
This is the boat for the days that matter. Bachelorette and bachelor parties make up most of our beach-party bookings — there’s room for the whole wedding crew, a sound system loud enough for the group-chat playlist, and a shot ski to get the afternoon going. But it’s just as good for a family reunion, a company outing that doesn’t feel like work, or a milestone birthday you actually want to remember. Up to twelve guests, one captain, and zero logistics on your end.
Because the pontoon is wide, flat, and stable, it works for mixed groups — grandparents and toddlers, strong swimmers and sunbathers, the friend who wants to float all day and the one who wants to snorkel. Everyone finds their spot.
How a day on the water runs
You’ll meet your captain at Hurricane Hole Marina on the protected south side of Key West — free parking, an easy walk to the dock, and none of the downtown crowds. From there it’s a short, scenic cruise to the sandbars: shallow stretches of turquoise water where the bottom is soft sand and the depth is waist-high. Your captain reads the day’s wind and tide, picks the best spot, drops anchor, and the floating day-club is open.
Swim, snorkel, climb on the lily pad, drift on an adult floatie, or just sit in the shade with a cold drink and the music going. The captain handles the boat, the route, and the anchor, so nobody in your group has to play designated driver. When you’re ready, you cruise back — sun-tired, a little salty, and with a camera roll full of the good kind of photos.
What’s aboard, and what to bring
Aboard: a USCG-licensed captain, the 30-foot pontoon with shade and seating for twelve, a premium Bluetooth sound system, Starlink so you stay connected from the sandbar, adult floaties, a large lily pad, a group shot ski, and a cooler with ice. A photo & drone package is available as an add-on if you want the day captured properly.
You bring: your crew, your drinks and snacks (it’s BYO — pack a cooler if you’re stocking up), towels, reef-safe sunscreen, and a playlist. That’s it.
The Beach Party Pontoon is owned and operated by our excursion partner, Salty Bottoms — not Six Fins.
Why book your partner excursion through Six Fins?
Booking through Six Fins combines the resources of our experienced hospitality team with those of our excursion partner to help assure you and your party have the best ocean experience possible. We help match the vessel and experience to your group, coordinate the details, and remain involved in making the experience come together. You may also request a preferred captain. Many captains who work with Six Fins also work with our excursion partners, and we will coordinate your request whenever possible, subject to availability and the partner’s final staffing decision.
Beach party boat charter FAQ
How many people fit on the Beach Party Pontoon?
The Beach Party Pontoon carries up to 12 guests plus your captain. The 30-foot deck has the shade, seating, and open space to keep a larger group comfortable for a private sandbar day.
It is one of the best Six Fins options when your group is too large for the Jeanneau but still wants a private boat instead of a shared party cruise.
Where does the charter leave from?
The Beach Party Pontoon departs from Hurricane Hole Marina at 5130 Overseas Hwy in Key West / Stock Island.
Hurricane Hole is a protected marina with free parking, an easy walk to the dock, and strong access to the sandbar and backcountry routes used for this style of party charter.
What is included on the boat?
Your charter includes a USCG-licensed captain provided by our excursion partner, Salty Bottoms, the 30-foot pontoon, shade, seating, premium Bluetooth sound system, Starlink, adult floaties, large lily pad, group shot ski, and cooler with ice.
A photo and drone package may be available as an add-on if your group wants the day captured properly.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. The Beach Party Pontoon is BYO. Bring drinks, snacks, sandwiches, party food, and whatever your group likes.
Six Fins provides ice and a cooler on board. Cans and plastic are better than glass on deck, and the captain remains responsible for vessel safety.
Is this good for a bachelorette or bachelor party?
Yes. This is one of Six Fins' strongest party-charter options because it has room for the group, a sound system, floaties, lily pad, shade, sandbar access, and a captain who handles the boat while everyone else enjoys the day.
For smaller bachelorette groups that want a private head and cabin, the Jeanneau may be better. For larger groups that want a floating beach party, the pontoon is the better fit.
Can we swim, snorkel, or use the lily pad?
Yes. The charter is built around getting in the water when conditions allow. Guests can swim, snorkel, float, use the lily pad, hang in the shade, or relax with music and drinks.
The captain chooses the location based on wind, tide, depth, other boats, and safety.
Is the destination guaranteed?
No exact sandbar or route is guaranteed. The captain chooses the safest and best spot for the day's conditions.
That flexibility matters for a party charter. The best day is not always the most famous sandbar; it is the spot with the right depth, wind protection, room to anchor, and space for your group.
What should we wear and bring?
Wear swimsuits or easy boat clothes. Bring towels, reef-safe sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, food, drinks, and a playlist.
The pontoon comes with the floaties, lily pad, shade, sound system, ice, and a Salty Bottoms captain. Pack like you are going to a private beach party on the water.
Can we add jet skis or another activity?
Sometimes. If your group wants to combine the pontoon with jet skis, snorkeling, fishing, sunset, or another charter element, ask before booking so Six Fins can build the right schedule.
For multi-activity days, the Custom Combo Charter or Jet Ski + Boat Combo may be a better fit than a simple beach party charter.
What happens if weather is unsafe?
If Six Fins or the captain determines conditions are unsafe, guests may be rescheduled or refunded according to the applicable booking policy. If the charter can run safely but one sandbar or anchorage is not ideal, the captain may adjust the route.
The goal is a safe, private party day — not forcing the boat into bad water.
